Corruption: Kano Government Queries Sanusi
The Kano state government has queried the embattled Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II over N3.4 billion unaccounted Kano Emirates funds.
In a letter addressed to Sanusi titled, “Re: Report of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission” dated June 6,2019 and signed by the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, a copy of which was obtained by Sk’s blog,the Emir was directed to respond to the allegations of misappropriation levelled against him by the State’s Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter.
Sanusi was accused of misappropriating funds belonging to the emirates to the tune of N3.4 billion by the Commission and has recommended his suspension from office pending the determination of the case.
