Comedian Broda Shaggy Hospitalised After Alleged Shooting in Ogun State
Popular Nigerian comedian and social media influencer Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggy, has been hospitalised following an alleged shooting incident in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State, SK Blog has confirmed.
According to sources, the incident took place under the Sango-Ota bridge on Sunday afternoon while Broda Shaggy was reportedly filming a comedy skit. Details surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
A police source, speaking anonymously, said the comedian sustained a gunshot wound during the shoot. He was initially taken to Blooming Care Hospital in Alakuko, Lagos State, where he received first aid before being referred to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja, where he is currently recuperating.
Attempts to reach both hospitals for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident. Spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi stated that the hospital alerted the police after Broda Shaggy arrived with a gunshot injury to his thigh. She noted that the incident occurred in Sango-Ota, which falls outside Lagos State’s jurisdiction, and investigations are ongoing.
The Ogun State Police Command, however, said the matter has not been officially reported to them.
Efforts to contact Broda Shaggy’s manager, Olufemi Oguntamu (Penzaar), were also unsuccessful.
The case is under investigation, with authorities seeking to clarify the circumstances that led to the shooting.
