CJTF and Local Vigilantes Capture, B€head Infamous Bandit Leader, Kachalla Isuhu Buzu, in Zamfara
In a decisive security operation in Zamfara State, the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), together with local vigilante groups, reportedly killed and beheaded Kachalla Isuhu Buzu, a bandit leader implicated in a series of violent attacks and kidnappings across rural settlements, including Moriki District in Zurmi Local Government Area.
Local sources stated that the operation was executed by Askarawan Zamfara, targeting hideouts used by Buzu and his network to launch assaults on communities throughout the state. Residents confirmed the death and beheading of the bandit leader, information that was circulated to assure affected communities of the operation’s outcome.
The news was met with strong reactions from locals, who described the event as a turning point after years of insecurity, displacement, and economic disruption caused by Buzu’s activities. Many residents said the development has brought a temporary sense of calm and renewed trust in ongoing security measures.
Authorities have not yet released full details of the operation, but community members welcomed the outcome, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and security reinforcement to prevent further attacks in the area
