The Primate of the Church of the Lord Worldwide, His Holiness Most Reverend Dr Rufus Okikiola Ositelu has sent out prayers to all Children as they mark the 2022 World’s Children’s Day.
Primate Ositelu on his Aladura Patriarch Facebook page admonished parents from the scriptures saying “All your Children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your Children.”
He also prayed that all Children would grow up to be good citizens as well as God fearing human beings.
The full text of the prayer:
PRAYER DAY FOR CHILDREN
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honour your father and mother’ — which is the first commandment with a promise — ‘so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.
Parents, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
This is to wish all the children worldwide well on this special day.
Happy Children’s Prayer Day! May you grow up to be a good citizen and a God fearing human being.
May you live long in good health and May God increase you spiritually, physically and materially.
May you achieve your purpose in life and may the Lord God Almighty crown all your efforts with brilliant success to the glory of His name, Amen.
