Cherubim & Seraphim Link Pope’s Approval of Same-Sex Blessings to World’s End

Pastor Kayode Aliyu of the Cherubim & Seraphim (C&S) Movement Church Worldwide, Daki-Biyu District, Kubwa branch, has declared that Pope Francis’ recent endorsement of blessings for same-sex couples is a clear indication of the impending “end time.”

The senior pastor and leader-in-charge of the C&S church, special apostle Alex Ogundipe, echoed Aliyu’s sentiment, stating that the message from the Pope signifies that “we are in the last phase of the world.”

Pope Francis granted permission for priests to bestow blessings upon same-sex couples on Monday. However, he clarified that such blessings should not become part of routine church ceremonies or be associated with civil unions or weddings.

In response, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria affirmed that Catholic Churches in the country would not bless same-sex unions, citing the opposition to God’s law, church teachings, and the country’s legal principles.

During a Sunday sermon titled ‘End Time Survival: The Strategies to Survive the End Time’ in Abuja, Pastor Aliyu presented 18 factors to identify the era, drawing from biblical references such as Genesis 6:11-18, Matthew 24:1-14, and 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

Emphasizing the importance of natural affection and love between a man and a woman, Aliyu warned that failure to know God could lead to a depraved mind, allowing people to do what “ought not to be done.”

As controversy surrounds the issue, Pastor Aliyu urged Christians to develop a discerning spirit based on God’s word to navigate the challenges of the end time. He emphasized the need to address the listed factors and encouraged believers to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, stating that the fruit of the spirit would counter the works of the devil.
