Chemist Accused of Raping 9-Year-Old Patient to Death During Malaria Treatment
A heart wrenching incident has occurred in Jaba, Fanisau Unogo Local Government Area of Kano State, where a chemist allegedly raped a 9-year-old girl, Rumaisa Sadiq, to death. The victim’s father had taken her to the chemist’s shop for malaria treatment, but instead, the chemist allegedly displayed “animalistic instinct” and brutally assaulted her.
Kano State Commissioner of Women Affairs, Disabled and Children, Hajia Aisha Saji, has confirmed the victim’s death and assured that justice will be served. Despite attempts to divert the case, the Commissioner emphasized that Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration will follow up the matter to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice and serve as a deterrent to others.
The Kano State Government has pledged to pursue the case to its conclusion and ensure that justice is served for Rumaisa and her family.
