Channel your grievances through appreciate quarters, Adeleke urges protesting NURTW
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun has urged aggrieved leaders of the National Road Transport Union Workers (NURTW) to channel their grievances through the appropriate quarters and not take the law into their hands.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Adeleke’s media aide Rasheed Olawale.
Mr Adeleke warned the transport unions against fomenting trouble in the state.
He directed security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property within the areas affected by the protest.
There were protests in motor parks in Osogbo at Old garage motor park, Okefia, Olaiya and Aregbe.
Opposing union members are struggling for control of motor parks.
Rival groups blocked roads preventing easy access and scaring away passersby.
Security operatives have brought the situation under control.
