British-Nigerian Doctor Accused of Exchanging Free Treatment for Sex with Patient, Tribunal Finds
Oluwafemi ‘Tijion’ Esho, the UK-based cosmetic doctor of Nigerian descent, has been found guilty by a medical tribunal of exchanging free botox treatment for sex with a patient.
Botox, a common cosmetic procedure aimed at reducing facial wrinkles, was allegedly offered by Esho in exchange for sexual favors from the patient, identified as an OnlyFans model referred to as Patient A.
Despite denying any physical sexual contact during the tribunal hearing, the panel ruled that Esho did engage in sexual intercourse with the woman at his clinic in Newcastle in 2021, while also providing botox treatment free of charge.
The tribunal further found evidence indicating that Esho had suggested he “could get away with giving her Botox in exchange for sexual services,” leading to the conclusion that his actions were sexually motivated.
In response to the tribunal’s ruling, Esho expressed disappointment, acknowledging his errors in engaging in inappropriate communications with Patient A but maintaining that he never engaged in physical sexual contact with her. He apologized for his conduct and reaffirmed his commitment to helping people through his clinic.
The panel is set to reconvene later in April to determine whether Esho’s fitness to practice has been impaired due to his misconduct.
