Bring a Million Obi, He Can’t Do Better Than Tinubu — APC Chieftain
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Ajiboye, has dismissed the chances of former Anambra State governor and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, outperforming President Bola Tinubu if given the opportunity.
Ajiboye, speaking on Channels Television’s *Politics Today* on Monday, declared that not even “a million Obi” could surpass Tinubu’s leadership. He questioned Obi’s track record as governor, arguing that his achievements in Anambra did not reflect the capacity to govern Nigeria.
“Bring a million Obi, he can’t do better. I can even take a bet on it. What miracle will he perform in government? What miracle was he able to perform in Anambra? Bring the records. How can you say he was successful in Anambra? He wasn’t,” Ajiboye said.
He further downplayed Obi’s professional background, noting that his role as a former bank chairman did not equate to the kind of experience required to lead a complex nation like Nigeria.
Ajiboye maintained that Tinubu has shown courage by taking tough but necessary measures aimed at stabilizing the economy and rescuing the country from collapse.
