Breaking: Imo lawmakers remove Speaker
The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Chiji Collins, has been sacked.
His motion for removal was supported by 19 out of the 27 members of the state House of Assembly.
He was said to have been sacked on alleged financial impropriety, high handedness, and gross misconduct.
Paul Emeziem from Onuimo local government area has been elected speaker.
