Bandits Release Photos of Kidnapped Anglican Priest and Wife, Demand ₦600m Ransom
Bandits have circulated photographs of kidnapped Kaduna Anglican cleric Ven. Edwin Achi and his wife, Sarah, days after abducting them and issuing a ransom demand reported to be ₦600 million.
The couple was taken from their residence in Nissi community, Chikun Local Government Area, on October 28, 2025. Their abduction has drawn growing concern as images shared by activist Harrison Gwamnishu show the pair alongside other victims, underscoring the increasing frequency of such attacks across the region.
Gwamnishu described the ransom request as excessive and urged the Federal Government, Kaduna State authorities, and security agencies to intensify rescue efforts. He warned that each day in captivity heightens the distress faced by the victims’ families and communities, insisting that swift intervention is critical to securing their safe return.
