Bandits Abduct Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Leader in Zamfara
Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, the North-West Youth Leader of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organisation in Zamfara State, has been abducted in Gusau, the state capital.
According to reports, a group of at least 30 armed men stormed Gusau’s residence and forcibly took him in the presence of his wife. The security platform Bakatsine confirmed the abduction and said authorities were notified immediately.
The attackers reportedly arrived in overwhelming numbers, leaving no room for resistance, and transported Gusau to an unknown location.
Zamfara has long struggled with banditry, mass kidnappings, and violent raids, affecting local communities, politicians, and traditional leaders alike, despite repeated promises of action from government and security agencies.
