ASUU Strike: NANS blocks Lagos Airport Road
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has made good its threat to block roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
The action to block the Airport Road took place in the early hours of today and it is in continuation of their protest against the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Report have it that Students despite the heavy downpour, caused a gridlock on the road leading to the airport leaving many travellers stranded.
They were carrying placards and singing to register their displeasure over the actions of the Federal Government.
Operatives from the Lagos State Police Command, RRS operatives, Lagos Airport Police Command, and other security agencies are on ground to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
