Asake Reconciles with Father, Promises to Buy Him a House, Support Daughter

Nigerian hip hop star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi, after a period of estrangement. This comes days after Mr. Odunsi publicly accused the singer of neglecting him since his health began to decline in 2022.

In a video shared on Sunday, Mr. Odunsi confirmed that the two have resolved their differences and are on good terms again. Speaking in Yoruba, he revealed that Asake has promised to buy him a house and cover his medical expenses. “We have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting,” he said. “They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.”

Asake has also committed to taking full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. According to Mr. Odunsi, “He has never denied his child, but he has now promised to take full responsibility.”
