A 36-year-old newlywed woman from Benue State, Kpamkwase Atsenda, has stirred reactions online after publicly celebrating a surprise gift from her 65-year-old husband, Chief Atsenda Ishwa. Just a week after their wedding, Chief Ishwa, who serves as the national president of the Ior-Jemgbagh Development Association, presented his wife with a Toyota car during Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration on October 1.
The Gboko-based businesswoman took to Facebook to share her excitement, expressing gratitude to her husband while addressing critics of their union. She described him as “a father, uncle, and husband in one,” adding a heartfelt prayer for his health and long life.
In her post, Kpamkwase wrote: “My first gift from my husband as his wife. God I asked you for a husband and you gave me three in one, you gave me a father, uncle and husband. Sometimes I ask God if I am his only child? A prayer for my beloved husband. May the good Lord keep protecting you and add more years to your years on this earth ijn. And for those who are k!lling themselves over my choice of husband, na die remain for una, as e dey pain them, e dey sweet me.”
Her message quickly gained attention on social media, with many congratulating her while others reacted to the bold clapback at critics questioning their age difference.
