A 44-year-old officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, identified as Lumi Elisha T. Gwamis, has reportedly died by suicide in Bauchi State.
The incident occurred in Bogoro Local Government Area of the state.
Gwamis was said to be the first son of a former chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area. According to reports, he had struggled with depression and anxiety for several years before his death.
