APC Poised to Win Anambra, Osun, and Ekiti Governorship Elections, Says Oyintiloye
A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure victory in upcoming governorship elections in Anambra, Osun, and Ekiti states.
The off-cycle governorship election in Anambra is slated for November 2025, while the elections in Osun and Ekiti will take place in 2026.
In a statement released on Monday, Oyintiloye highlighted APC’s recent victory in Ondo State as a testament to the growing strength of the party and a sign that it could unseat opposition parties in other states.
He pointed to the overwhelming support received by Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ondo’s governor-elect, as evidence of the electorate’s trust in APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“The massive votes received by APC in Ondo, which shocked opposition parties, especially the PDP, confirm that the electorate still believes in the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu,” Oyintiloye said.
He added, “This landslide victory demonstrates that Nigerians, especially in Ondo, continue to have faith in the APC and Tinubu’s leadership. It is a clear signal that states currently governed by opposition parties, including Anambra, Ekiti, and Osun, will also join the APC fold.”
Citing a string of APC victories in Kogi, Edo, and Ondo, Oyintiloye underscored the party’s growing momentum. “APC has become stronger under Tinubu, and this winning streak highlights the people’s enduring trust in the party and its leaders.”
As the party gears up for these pivotal elections, Oyintiloye urged opposition parties to brace for what he described as “massive defeats” in the months ahead.
