Any Cleric Hiding Under God’s Instruction not to Work is a Liar, Thief — Prophet Sam Ojo
In a recent press conference held during the unveiling of his Melody 107.7FM radio station in Lagos, Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo, the president of the Freedom Apostolic Revival Ministry (FARIM), rebuked pastors who claim God instructed them not to work, branding them as liars and thieves.
Prophet Ojo, widely known as Baba Authority, emphasized that he does not rely on church funds, openly stating, “I don’t collect a dime from any of my church branches nationwide.” He further highlighted his commitment to supporting members through various means, including scholarships, emphasizing that clerics should not shy away from working. “Any cleric who hides under God’s instruction not to work is a liar and thief,” he asserted.
Revealing his personal involvement in real estate and other legitimate businesses, Prophet Ojo urged fellow clerics to prioritize making positive impacts in people’s lives, citing his focus on supporting education and becoming a landlord three years ago.
Addressing the launch of Melody 107.7FM, Prophet Ojo clarified that the radio station is not religious-based but aims to entertain and inform a broad audience. He expressed plans to expand the initiative by launching radio stations in Ibadan, Abeokuta, and Ibafo, contributing to job creation and talent showcase across the southwest region.
“The radio is not a spiritual endeavor; it is an avenue to put food on some people’s table,” he stated, emphasizing its role as a medium to preach hope, create employment, and showcase talents in the media industry. The radio station officially commenced full operations on December 1, marking the beginning of a significant venture for Prophet Sam Ojo and the Freedom Apostolic Revival Ministry.
