Another Building collapses in Lagos, traps residents
A three-storey building on 32 Ibadan Street, in Ebute Metta area of Lagos State has collapsed.
The building was reported to be a residential property and lots of residents are said to still be trapped in the collapsed building as at time of reporting.
The Head, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed the development in a statement.
She noted that a search and rescue operation was ongoing to rescue the trapped victims as officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are already at the scene.
Adeseye could however not confirm if there were any records of death yet.
