Anambra: Will Executor Accuses Bereaved Family of Threats to Life, Files Petition with Police, COAS

Chief Francis Anagor, a close associate and friend of the late Mr. Stephen Nweke of Umubele Village, Awka, has come forward with distressing claims of harassment and threats to his life by the deceased’s wife and son. Anagor alleges that Mrs. Obiageli Nweke, widow of Mr. Nweke, verbally abused and harassed him, accusing him of tampering with her late husband’s will.

Anagor further raises the alarm over alleged threats to his life by Major Ogonna Onyebuchi Nweke, one of Mr. Nweke’s sons. While Anagor has reported these incidents to the Nigerian Police and filed a petition with the Chief of Army Staff, SK Blog attempts to verify the threats through SMS exchange have been inconclusive.

In response, Mrs. Obiageli Nweke denies all accusations, asserting that Chief Anagor, once considered a trusted family friend, conspired with her late husband’s brother to manipulate the will, leaving her and her children without their rightful inheritance. She questions Chief Anagor’s inclusion as not just one of the executors but also a beneficiary in the will, emphasizing her doubts about the document’s authenticity due to her husband’s prolonged illness.

As tension rises, Chief Anagor pleads for a thorough investigation into his claims, expressing genuine concern for his safety. The conflicting narratives highlight the complexity of familial relations and the legal intricacies surrounding Mr. Nweke’s will.
