Anambra: Students Donate ₦10.7m Toward Tinubu’s 2027 Interest Form
Beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) in Anambra State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and donated ₦10.7 million toward the purchase of his 2027 expression of interest form.
The endorsement was announced on Friday at the Igbariam campus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University during a gathering of student leaders and NELFUND beneficiaries.
Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council in Anambra State, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, said the donation reflected students’ appreciation for the federal government’s education loan scheme and policies aimed at expanding access to tertiary education.
According to him, beneficiaries of the scheme contributed a total of ₦10,735,500 in support of Tinubu’s anticipated 2027 bid.
He said the NELFUND initiative had eased financial pressure on students and improved access to higher education for many Nigerians.
The students also commended Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo for what they described as continued support for education and student development in the state.
During the event, the group acknowledged the role of businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, for supporting youth-focused initiatives through the City Boys Movement.
They also recognised the organisation’s state women leader, Adaora Soludo, and state coordinator, Nonso Ozoemena, for contributions to youth mobilisation and leadership development.
Among those present at the event were former Special Assistant to the Anambra governor on Student Matters, Okoye Mathew, and several Student Union Government presidents.
