Anambra Keke Riders Declare Support for Soludo, Plan Statewide Rally
Tricycle operators across Anambra State have thrown their weight behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s bid for a second term, staging a rally in Awka to declare their support and appreciation for his administration’s policies.
Led by their coordinator, Osita Obi, the Keke drivers commended Governor Soludo for initiatives aimed at improving their welfare, particularly the elimination of multiple taxation and the continued construction of roads across the state. Describing the governor as “the best,” Obi emphasized that the group is not merely symbolic but fully committed to ensuring Soludo’s victory in the upcoming November 8 election.
The drivers lauded Soludo’s vision of transforming Anambra into a thriving economic hub and praised his leadership style and developmental strides. As part of their support efforts, they announced plans to hold a large-scale rally, expected to draw over 70,000 Keke drivers from major towns including Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia.
They also called on the governor to facilitate official elections for Keke drivers statewide, saying that such a move would help foster unity and strengthen their organizational structure.
