“Ambassadorial List in Circulation is Fake,” Says FG
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has refuted the authenticity of a circulating list of ambassadorial nominees, labeling it as fake.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the acting spokesperson for the ministry, Kimiebi Ebienfa, clarified that the list being shared on social media platforms has no basis in reality. The ministry urged the public to disregard the information entirely.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public to kindly disregard the fake list of ambassadorial nominees, which is currently in circulation on some social media platforms,” the statement read.
It further emphasized that the appointment of ambassadors is solely the prerogative of the President, and no such appointments have been made at this time. The ministry reiterated that the purported list holds no credibility and should be dismissed outright.
