Altercation Unfolds as Party Agents Clash, Exchange Blows at Imo Collation Center
Tensions flared at the Imo State Collation Centre in Owerri as a dispute escalated into a physical altercation between two unidentified party agents. The incident unfolded amidst the ongoing collation process, presided over by Prof Abayomi Fasina, the returning officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University in Oye, Ekiti.
Commencing in the early hours of Sunday, the collation procedure was met with early objections from various party agents, setting the tone for a contentious session. As the proceedings unfolded, one of the agents vocalized concerns, questioning the rush in the process.
The situation further deteriorated when a scuffle erupted between two party agents, prompting their immediate removal from the collation venue. The identities of those involved in the altercation remain undisclosed at the time of this report.
The collation process, already marred by controversies from its onset, faced another setback with this physical confrontation, casting a shadow over the proceedings and highlighting the heightened tensions among party representatives.
