Akachaam: Former Catholic Knight Installed as Senior Bishop in Omenala Worship Following Exit Over Ifeanyi Ubah Tribute Dispute

A former Catholic Knight, Sir James Louis, widely known as Ebube Anaedo, has appeared in a new traditional ordination ceremony where he was installed as a Senior Bishop within the Omenala Bu Eziokwi Na Ndu movement.

The development follows his public exit from the Catholic Church in January 2026 during the dedication of the Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral in Nnewi, Anambra State. At the event, he openly renounced his affiliation with the Church, an action that circulated widely after a video showed him leaving the cathedral in visible anger.

His departure was linked to dissatisfaction over how the late businessman and senator Ifeanyi Ubah was acknowledged during the cathedral’s inauguration. He argued that Ubah, who he credited with significant support toward the project, was not properly recognized compared to other figures honored by the Church.

In the same incident, he removed his knight regalia and declared a break from institutional religion. Following that moment, he became popularly referred to as “Akacham.”

In a new video shared by traditionalist voice Mathias Ezeaku, Sir James is seen undergoing initiation rites tied to the Omenala Bu Eziokwi Na Ndu movement, a group promoting indigenous religious practice.

During the ceremony, he referenced his previous roles in the Catholic Church, including participation in Block Rosary, choir activities, and knighthood, stating that he now identifies with traditional religious practice.
