Aisha Buhari, Family Move into Kaduna Home of Late President Muhammadu Buhari
Former First Lady Aisha Buhari and her children have moved into the Kaduna residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari. The move marks a return to the property that served as the president’s final home before he departed for medical treatment in London earlier this year.
Upon her arrival, Aisha Buhari was received by a delegation led by Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, who extended a warm welcome on behalf of the state government. The residence holds significant personal and historical value, as it was where the late president last stayed before his passing.
President Muhammadu Buhari died on June 13, 2025, while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness at a clinic in London. His body was flown back to Nigeria two days later and laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, with full state honours and military recognition.
