Aisha Achimugu Urged to File Tax Returns Following Extravagant Grenada Birthday Celebration

In the wake of her opulent seven-day 50th birthday celebration in Grenada, Aisha Achimugu, the renowned Abuja socialite and founder of Felak Concept Group, has been formally requested by the FCT-Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) to fulfill her tax obligations.

The FCT-IRS conveyed their congratulations on Aisha Achimugu’s milestone birthday through a post on their social media platform. The tax agency extended warm birthday wishes and, in the same breath, reminded the celebrant to file her annual tax returns.

A dedicated website for the week-long celebration in Grenada included details on visa arrangements, chauffeurs, travel schedules, and the closest airport to the event venue. The festivities kicked off on January 16 with guest arrivals, culminating in a luxurious dinner-themed “glitz and glam” on January 23.

Prominent figures, including a governor from one of the Southwest states, reportedly attended the birthday bash, flying in from Nigeria on hired jets. The celebrant spared no expense, reportedly spending over one million dollars to rent Calivigny Island for the entire week.

Reports indicate that Aisha Achimugu changed outfits at the party more than 30 times, with each dress costing thousands of dollars. She adorned herself with high-end diamond jewelry, designer shoes, and carried Hermes crocodile leather handbags, each valued between $50,000 and $80,000.

International and local A-list musicians and entertainers, including Kenny G, Waje, Flavour, Adekunle Gold, Asake, and Grenadan musician Mr Killa, performed at the various events.

Achimugu, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Jos, also possesses an honorary degree from The Commonwealth University, Belize. She is the widow of the late Engineer Sulaiman Achimugu, former Managing Director of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, who succumbed to Coronavirus in 2020.

As the spotlight on Aisha Achimugu’s extravagant celebration continues, the FCT-IRS remains firm in reminding her to meet her tax obligations amid the grandeur of her 50th birthday festivities.
