Air Peace Raises Alarm as Fraudsters Clone Website, Swindle Customers
In a recent development, Air Peace, a prominent indigenous aviation company, has alerted the public to the emergence of fraudulent activities targeting its customers. The company revealed that suspected fraudsters have cloned its official website, deceiving unsuspecting passengers and duping them of their hard-earned money.
This warning comes hot on the heels of Air Peace’s launch of direct flights from Nigeria to the United Kingdom, underscoring the urgency of the situation. Taking to its official social media platform, the airline cautioned its customers about the nefarious activities of scammers who have replicated its website to deceive individuals seeking to book flights to various destinations.
According to Air Peace, the cyber criminals have exploited its website identity collaterals to create a counterfeit website, “www.flyairpeace.uk,” through which they entice unsuspecting victims into making bookings, only to defraud them later on. The company emphasized that this fraudulent site is not affiliated with Air Peace in any way and urged customers to beware of such scams.
In a statement issued by the airline, it was stressed that the only legitimate website for Air Peace is “www.flyairpeace.com.” The company reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and security of its customers and urged them to exercise caution and vigilance when making online transactions related to flight bookings.
