Air Peace Commences Lagos-London Flight
Air Peace, a leading Nigerian airline, has initiated direct flights from Lagos, Nigeria, to London, United Kingdom. The announcement was made via the airline’s official channels at approximately 8:13 a.m., expressing jubilation over the milestone and extending gratitude to all involved in achieving it.
The decision to inaugurate the Lagos-London route follows Air Peace’s earlier declaration of intent during its pre-launch forum held in February. This forum aimed to engage travel agencies and partners crucial to the operational success of the London flight.
“London service has commenced, and we’re thrilled to mark yet another milestone in our commitment to seamless connectivity between cities. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this launch,” Air Peace conveyed in a statement.
Notable figures, including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, graced the airline’s inaugural flight to London.
In a related development, Allen Onyema, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, disclosed in November that the airline had met the necessary requirements to operate flights to Europe and the United Kingdom. This achievement followed the successful acquisition of the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, positioning Air Peace as a qualified player in international aviation.
