In a decisive operation conducted by the air component of Operation Whirl Punch, numerous terrorists met their end in Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The mission, prompted by actionable intelligence, targeted the notorious terrorist leader Boderi and his associates.
Nigerian Air Force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, reported on Sunday that the air strikes yielded significant success. The relentless pursuit of justice led to another operation aimed at Boderi’s brother, Nasiru, both implicated in multiple attacks on communities in Kaduna State and its surroundings.
Gabkwet stated, “Nigerian Air Force aircraft under Operation Whirl Punch have sustained air strikes against terrorists operating in the North-West and North Central region of the country, leading to the decimation of several terrorist elements at Tsauni Doka in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.”
The strikes, carried out on November 16, 2023, were particularly effective, neutralizing numerous terrorists and destroying their means of transportation. Boderi and Nasiru, along with their cohorts, have been held responsible for a series of attacks and abductions along critical routes such as the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway and Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, as well as in various communities in Niger and Kaduna states. The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to safeguarding the state against such threats.
