Agric Ministry Declares Three-Day Prayer and Fasting for Food Security
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced a three-day programme of prayer and fasting to seek divine intervention in Nigeria’s efforts toward achieving food security.
In an internal memo dated June 11, Adedayo Modupe, Director of Human Resource Management, informed staff that the initiative is aimed at invoking spiritual guidance to support the government’s mission in the agricultural sector. The exercise, themed *“Divine Intervention for Protection and National Development,”* calls on all ministry staff to participate in fasting and prayer sessions.
According to the circular, the prayers will take place at Conference Hall ‘B’ of the ministry’s headquarters in Area 11, Garki, Abuja. Each session is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the designated dates—Monday, June 16, June 23, and June 30. All staff members are expected to attend and observe the fast on each of the specified days.
