Absence of Magistrate stalls arraignment of suspects in Don Davies molestation case

The absence of the Chief Magistrate in court has stalled the arraignment of suspects in the allegation of torture and sexual molestation of an 11-year-old pupil, Don-Davies Archibong.

Don Davies, a student of Deeper Life High School, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, travails went viral after his mother Deborah Okezie released videos on social media.

The police had on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, taken the suspects, five staff, and two students of the DLHS to the Magistrate Court along Ikot Ekpene road for prosecution.

Also dragged to the court was a 74-year-old retired medical doctor, Effiong Udimidue, who is said to be a member of the Deeper Life High School Management Committee, Uyo.

The ‘abused’ boy’s mother, Deborah Okezie Archibong in a video released on Wednesday had accused Dr. Udimidue of sneaking into the medical facility where her son’s blood samples were to be taken without official authorization.
