8 School Children Rescued in Lokoja Ghastly Auto Crash

Eight school children were rescued from a ghastly motor accident in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, on Thursday.

Retired Commodore Jerry Omodara, the Kogi State Security Adviser, confirmed that no lives were lost in the accident and all eight pupils were successfully rescued.

Eyewitnesses reported that the pupils from Kingdom Heritage Nursery and Primary School were on their way home when a heavy-duty truck carrying a container load fell on two smaller vehicles near the popular Lokongoma market. The children were trapped but were rescued through the coordinated efforts of the Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and other relevant agencies.
