2023 Polls: ‘If Peter Obi Had MC Oluomo, He Would Have Won’ — Rapper, OdumoduBlvck
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as OdumoduBlvck, has sparked controversy by suggesting that the absence of support from Lagos State Park Management Chairman, Musiliu Akisanya, aka MC Oluomo, played a pivotal role in the failure of Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, during the 2023 general election.
As many will recall, Peter Obi faced defeat against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the highly contested 2023 elections. OdumoduBlvck shared his insights during his album listening party in Abuja, where he addressed a gathering of fans.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the rapper responded to claims that one of his newly released songs titled ‘MC Oluomo’ was dedicated to the influential Lagos road transport figure. OdumoduBlvck firmly denied the claim, asserting that he was, in fact, supporting Peter Obi during the election.
He emphasized that Peter Obi could have had a better chance at winning the election if he had the support of someone like MC Oluomo. OdumoduBlvck encouraged his fans to embody the spirit of MC Oluomo in their endeavors, stating, “Person wey be sey when they are winning us for the ballot box he go sey common una papa, scatter am. That’s what we need to take the country, power is not given, it is taken. Whatever you are doing in your life, have MC Oluomo in you.”
