10 people lost their lives when a passenger bus collided with a stationary truck and overturned. The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at Yanfari village, located in the Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa state.
According to the Jigawa State Police Command, the accident involved a Toyota Hummer bus carrying 11 passengers from Kano to Hadejia. The bus, registered HDJ 631 YDD, reportedly hit a parked truck (registration RGN 180 ZC), resulting in a fatal crash that killed the driver and nine passengers instantly.

Medical personnel at the hospital confirmed the deaths, while the only surviving passenger is being treated at Majia Primary Health Care Centre and is reportedly in stable condition.
The command has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and officials say that if negligence is determined, those responsible will face legal action.
