Zamfara Residents Capture and Hang Suspected Bandit After Failed Abduction Attempt
Residents of a Zamfara community have captured and killed a suspected bandit following a foiled abduction attempt. The incident took place in Bakura Local Government Area.
According to reports, armed bandits attacked Yargeda community on the night of Friday, December 12, 2025, abducting three residents. While transporting the victims through a forest, the kidnappers passed through Rini village, where they were confronted by local residents.
The bandits managed to escape, but one suspect was caught. He was restrained by the community and later lynched, with his body reportedly hung on a water tank structure.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the incident on Monday, December 15.
