Wike Reinstates FCT Education Mandate Secretary, IRS Acting Chairman
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reinstated the FCT Mandate Secretary for Education, Dr Danlami Hayyo, and the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service, Michael Ango.
The reinstatement was announced on Wednesday in Abuja by the minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, in an official statement.
According to Olayinka, the minister directed both officials to resume their duties with immediate effect, while also cautioning officials of the FCT Administration against acts of indiscipline in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Dr Hayyo was suspended on November 25 after a circular was issued directing the early closure of schools in the FCT due to alleged security concerns.
Ango was suspended on December 5, although no specific reason was publicly disclosed for his suspension at the time.
