Video: “You Don’t Know the Meaning of Justice” — Nnamdi Kanu Blasts Judge in Fiery Court Outburst
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), caused a stir in court on Thursday, November 7, when he launched into a fiery outburst during his ongoing terrorism trial. Appearing before the court but refusing to open his defence, Kanu instead berated the presiding judge, accusing the court of disregarding justice and the Nigerian constitution.
Visibly agitated, Kanu challenged the legal basis of the proceedings, demanding that the judge show him the “written law” authorizing his trial. “Your constitution says you cannot try anybody unless the law is written. Show me the written law,” he said.
At one point, Kanu lashed out harshly, declaring, “Useless Black African people. You don’t know the meaning of justice,” while insisting that external influence, particularly from Britain, was driving the case against him. “You think Britain can ask you to jail me and you’ll jail me. You’re dreaming,” he added.
