Video: Moment Suspected Thief Was Caught After Hiding in Bank Ceiling Overnight to Hack System

A commercial bank in Lagos was thrown into chaos after a suspected intruder allegedly spent the night hidden inside the ceiling and attempted to tamper with the bank’s systems. According to eyewitnesses, the man entered the bank during regular business hours and discreetly locked himself inside a restroom. From there, he reportedly climbed into the ceiling and remained hidden until the bank closed for the day.

The following morning, staff returning to work were surprised to find one of the internal doors locked from the inside. Upon forcing it open, they were confronted by the suspect, who appeared to be in the process of tampering with the bank’s systems.

While the bank has not yet issued an official statement, videos of the incident have gone viral on social media. In the footage, the suspect is seen being apprehended and allegedly mistreated by individuals present. He can be heard pleading for forgiveness, claiming he acted alone.
