“Tinubu Defeated Boko Haram in One Year” – SGF Akume
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, declared that President Bola Tinubu has successfully defeated Boko Haram within his first year in office.
Senator Akume made this revelation during a book launch celebrating Tinubu’s achievements since his inauguration on May 29, 2023. The event highlighted various milestones reached under Tinubu’s administration.
A statement released by John Ameh, media aide to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nicholas Ella, on Thursday, praised Tinubu for his decisive victory over the terrorist group. Akume also commended the security agencies for effectively addressing the threat of kidnappers across the country.
“There is no one that is in doubt of President Bola Tinubu’s giant strides in the last year. The federal government under President Tinubu’s leadership has defeated Boko Haram terrorists,” Akume stated. He further highlighted Tinubu’s contributions to infrastructure, noting significant improvements such as the construction of numerous roads and the development of the Abuja Metro Rail.
