“Stop Posting Fake News” – Victor Boniface Dismisses Breakup Rumors with Norwegian Girlfriend

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has denied reports that he has split from his Norwegian girlfriend, Rikke Hermine, calling the claims “fake.”

Speculation about their alleged breakup surfaced on social media in recent days, with reports suggesting that Hermine demanded a legal marriage without a prenuptial agreement—something Boniface allegedly refused, leading to the end of their relationship.

However, the Bayer Leverkusen forward swiftly debunked the rumors in a now-deleted post on X, where he expressed frustration over the false claims. Writing partly in Pidgin English, he criticized those spreading the rumors, stating, “Stop posting fake shit you guys know nothing about. People will just pick their phones and post without verification. Not everyone is like your sister. So, respect yourself. Everything you guys say about her are all lies.”

Boniface played a crucial role in Bayer Leverkusen’s historic Bundesliga triumph last season, where they went unbeaten and also clinched the German Cup. This season, he remains a key figure under manager Xabi Alonso and is expected to be part of Nigeria’s squad when the 2026 World Cup qualifiers resume in March.
