Shooting Stars Assistant Coach Akin Olowokere Dies During Training Session
Akin Olowokere, the newly appointed Assistant Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), tragically collapsed and died during a training session on Monday morning.
Olowokere, who recently joined the club’s coaching staff after the departure of the previous team led by Gbenga Ogunbote, slumped while on the pitch at the club’s training ground. Eyewitnesses said he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A former player and coach with Sunshine Stars of Akure, Olowokere was actively involved in team preparations before the sudden incident. As of now, no official statement has been released regarding the cause of his death.
The club and fans mourn the loss of a promising coach whose contributions to Nigerian football will be remembered.
