“Serving corps members who would be passing out before December 31, 2024, can apply,” says FIRS as Recruitment Deadline Approaches

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has confirmed that current National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members are eligible to apply for its ongoing recruitment exercise. The announcement was made via the FIRS’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday evening.

According to the FIRS, corps members who are set to complete their service by December 31, 2024, are encouraged to apply for roles within the agency. The FIRS highlighted that applications will close on November 14, 2024, and noted that candidates holding membership in the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) will have an added advantage in the selection process.

“Serving corps members who would be passing out before December 31, 2024, can apply. CITN membership would be an added advantage for interested candidates. Application closes November 14, 2024,” the agency stated.

This opportunity follows FIRS’s recent nationwide recruitment drive to fill tax officer positions, as the agency aims to strengthen its workforce and enhance tax administration efforts across Nigeria.
