“Remain Calm but Strong, Your Release Will Be Resolved Administratively” — Governor Otti to Nnamdi Kanu
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has assured IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu of ongoing efforts to secure his release, emphasizing that initiatives started over two years ago have been intensified despite recent developments.
During a visit to the Sokoto Correctional Centre, Governor Otti encouraged Kanu to “remain calm but strong,” adding that the matter “will be resolved administratively” and that he would eventually regain his freedom.
Otti also noted that the Sultan of Sokoto shares his position on Kanu’s release and the broader need to de-escalate regional tensions. He stressed that all efforts are being coordinated to achieve a peaceful and constructive resolution.
Kanu, who received the governor in high spirits, expressed gratitude for the visit and reiterated his focus on good governance and improving the welfare of the people.
