Real Madrid Manager, Ancelotti, Faces Possible Five-Year Prison Term for Fraud
Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelott, is under the legal microscope as the Spanish Prosecutor’s Office seeks a hefty five-year prison sentence for alleged tax fraud. Relevo reports indicate that Ancelotti is grappling with two charges, accusing him of defrauding the Treasury of a staggering €1 million.
The alleged misconduct unfolded between 2014 and 2015, marking Ancelotti’s initial tenure with Real Madrid. The Prosecutor’s Office is now pushing for a substantial prison term of four years and nine months for the seasoned Italian manager.
The crux of the matter revolves around Ancelotti’s reported failure to include income from image rights in his tax returns, focusing solely on remuneration from his role as Madrid’s manager. The specific amounts in question are €386,361 in 2014 and a considerable €675,718 in 2015.
