Pornst@r Devyn Michaels Accused of Killing and Behe@ding Ex-Partner to Marry His Son

Former adult film actress Devyn Michaels, 45, is standing trial in Las Vegas over the murder and decapitation of her former partner, Johnathan Willette, 47, the father of her two children.

Authorities reported that Willette’s headless body was discovered in 2023 at his home in Henderson, Nevada. Prosecutors allege that Michaels committed the crime to pursue a relationship with her new husband, Deviere Willette, who is Johnathan’s son. This unusual relationship made the victim her father-in-law.

Deputy District Attorney John Giordani described Michaels as acting deliberately to remove obstacles to her intended family arrangement. “This is the future that she saw and that she wanted, and the only way to have that future was with John out of the picture,” he told the jury.

According to police reports, the victim’s mother discovered the body, which had been doused with chemicals and was smoking. Prosecutors claim Michaels transported the severed head to her home and disposed of it, though neither the head nor the alleged murder weapon has been recovered.

Michaels’ defence attorney, Robert Draskovich, denied that she committed the murder. He instead alleged that Deviere Willette, Michaels’ husband, killed his father out of jealousy after she sought a divorce from him to reconcile with Johnathan. Draskovich told the jury that Deviere “was no longer going to be in the relationship because his father, whom he resented, was taking his home and his wife.”

Michaels initially told investigators that she struck Willette with a wooden stick during a confrontation in which he allegedly tried to force a sexual act on her. She briefly agreed to a plea deal in 2024 but later withdrew it, leaving the case to be decided by the jury.

The trial presents jurors with two conflicting accounts involving family conflict, violence, and deception, as they determine responsibility for the shocking killing.
