Police: Regina Daniels’ Brother Charged With Conspiracy, Assault, and Theft
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has charged Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, with criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh confirmed this in a statement on Friday, saying the action followed a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, against Ojeogwu and three others.
According to Adeh, Ojeogwu repeatedly failed to honour police invitations before he was arrested in Lagos on the authority of a court-issued warrant and taken to Abuja for investigation. After the investigation was concluded, he was arraigned before a competent court in Abuja on November 6, 2025, and has been remanded pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
Adeh reaffirmed the command’s commitment to professionalism and due process, emphasising that the matter was handled lawfully and transparently.
The case has sparked widespread attention following a viral video in which Regina Daniels broke down in tears over her brother’s detention. Her emotional reaction comes amid growing reports of marital troubles with Senator Ned Nwoko, with both parties trading accusations involving domestic violence and substance abuse.
Amid the turmoil, Regina shared that her long-separated parents recently reconciled — a development she described as a moment of comfort amid her family’s ongoing challenges.
