By Arthur Maduka

The widely celebrated Ogene Tribe musical group—which draws its membership from communities across Oyi, Ayamelum, Anambra East, Anambra West, Onitsha north, south , and Ogbaru—has formally called on Hon. Charles Obimma to contest in the 2027 general election, pledging full support for his aspiration.

In a public message delivered during one of their recent performances, the group praised Hon. Obimma’s record of service, describing him as a leader known for humility, compassion, and a strong commitment to community development. According to them, these qualities represent the kind of leadership needed at this time.

Hon. Obimma previously served in the Anambra State House of Assembly, representing the people of Oyi. During his tenure, he was known for community-focused initiatives, social welfare interventions, and support for various youth and women empowerment projects. His philanthropic work, particularly in rural communities, continues to earn him wide admiration.

The Ogene Tribe group, famous for their cultural influence and far-reaching musical presence, stated that they are prepared to mobilize support across wards, polling units, and local government areas to ensure a leader they describe as “a good man with a vision for development” emerges victorious.

They emphasized that their endorsement is rooted in their belief that Hon. Obimma has the capacity to drive meaningful growth if given the mandate in 2027.

With their public call, the musical group urged him to accept the appeal to serve once again, noting that “service remains a duty to the people.”

SK Blog will continue to follow developments around this growing movement ahead of the 2027 election season.
