NNPCL Reduces Petrol Price for Second Time in a Week
The Nigerian Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (petrol) for the second time in less than a week.
According to reports from NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja, the state-owned oil firm lowered the price from N930 to N920 per liter, marking a N10 reduction. The new pricing took effect Thursday at filling stations in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4.
This follows an earlier price cut on November 28, 2025, when NNPCL reduced petrol by N15 per liter.
Chinedu Ukadike, spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, stated that petrol prices are expected to continue falling as competition intensifies among major players in the country’s downstream oil sector.
