A Nigerian man attacked a police officer and bit off part of his ear during an arrest in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The incident took place at a clinic in Metro Prima, Kepong, on the morning of Friday, April 25, 2025.
According to Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, officers from the Kepong police station were called to the clinic after receiving a report about a foreign man causing a disturbance. The 38-year-old suspect was arrested and handed over to a police corporal assigned to transport him to the Sentul district police headquarters.
While the officer was escorting the handcuffed man into the back of a patrol car, the suspect suddenly turned aggressive and bit the officer’s left ear, severing a portion of it. The officer is currently receiving medical treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
The case is being investigated under Sections 325 and 353 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt and using criminal force to deter a public servant, as well as Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for overstaying.
